The public is invited to a virtual opening reception for Trash Stash Quilt Art on Zoom at 7:45pm on December 2nd.
Addressing the global trash crisis, Eleanor Levie upcycles single-use packaging that once held teabags, coffee, produce, and animal feed. Damaged vintage linens, old zippers, torn dress patterns, and even scrap metal found on the street find a place in mixed-media collages, which are layered onto fabric and heavily stitched. This body of work comes together for Trash Stash Quilt Art, a solo exhibit of quilted refuse that will open at Da Vinci Art Alliance on Wednesday, December 2nd and will be available online as a video walkthrough until December 20th.
