SKOVeS, or Sammy Kovnat, is an Internationally shown multimedia artist and muralist living and working in Philadelphia. They received their BFA in sculpture from Rowan University in 2016. SKOVeS has a deep rooted explorative passion for warmth, matriarchal systems, vulnerability, quiet, and emotional release.
Artist Statement:
“Everyone carries some level of silence with them, and I strive to make work that allows them to engage that silent vulnerable place in a tender way. I am passionate about expressing warmth, connection, and vulnerability through various media, especially through collage, paint, and mosaic. If my work causes you to look within yourself, to bring about some level of personal reflection and resonance, then I feel I have successfully created art that matters.”
