Robert Solomon uses photography and drawing as components of painting to help in formal aspects and choice of color. He likes to comment on culture and using photographs can isolate the 2D aspects of an image. He sketches from the model at the Plastic Club Philadelphia to exercise his focus and drawing skills.

“My paintings speak to my lifelong interest in almost all forms of art and culture. Its just that I decided to make painting my chosen field.”
