Artist Statement:
“I create art often as an emotional response to what has happened in my life, as a form of therapy to understand the knot of emotions that we become. My most recent projects center on surviving abuse, understanding our cultural ideals of femininity and trying to subvert them, and placing importance on finding the matrilineal threads we so often lose.”
