Pomona (b.1984) lives and works in Philadelphia. They earned a BFA from the University of the Arts and a Master's in Library Science from Drexel. With interests ranging from experimental performance to traditional still life painting, they are currently attending to zines and paintings from the Imagination.

Artist Statement:

"My process involves creating paintings from images which strike me as mysterious and potent. These images come from dreams, visions, daily life, and collage. Often, when an image strikes me, I draw it several times, and this almost has the effect of printmaking. I will sit down with a stack of paper, a song on repeat, and a soft piece of graphite. Then I work until my materials are gone, and I am left with multiple copies. I like to begin several paintings at once, put everything on the walls, and chip away from there. The pieces are in constant relation to one another, and a world emerges."
