“One simple big idea guides my career: Climate change is real and the disastrous effects are multiplying faster each year. I live in a constant state of urgency with each effort aimed at altering the current trajectory of human evolution towards a sustainable future. Education has been the vehicle for my work, as we need as many leaders to step up as often as possible to make the changes that are so desperately needed in our society. During these efforts, it becomes clearer each day that a sustainable future must include a socially equitable society. As a person of privilege, I have focused a large part of my career on advocating for a society that will become diverse, equitable and inclusive.”
