About:
Daisy Diamond creates work that explores objects, decay, and the subtleties of material memory. Daisy has exhibited at Vox Populi and was selected for residency/fellowship at Penland School of Craft. Their work is published in Bat City Review Issue #19, There is Nothing So Whole as a Broken Heart: Mending the World as Jewish Anarchists published by AK Press, and PROTOCOLS Issue No. 8: Contracting at the Seams. They have a BA in Art and Visual Culture from Bates College and are currently a Graduate Fellow completing a Master’s of Science in Art Conservation at the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation.
Artist Statement:
My sculptures and paintings explore the relationships between objects, decay, and the subtleties of material memory. I strive to create work that resists simple categorization and emphasizes our relationships to objects as sites of ritual and historical reckoning.
