Throughout the month of April 2022 DVAA will be hosting, alongside our partners, the Everyday Futures Fest - a month-long series of community events and programming centralized in South Philadelphia fostering new ideas, facilitating open, respectful, dialogue, and exchanging skills and resources. This year, we will be exploring the topic of "Sustainability" and how this word relates to Environmental Sustainability, exploring Sustainability within our Communities, Sustaining Language and Culture, and how all these themes intersect with art, science and relationship building. In all programming our priority is on equity and inclusion, committed to innovating ways of creating programming accessible to all. The Everyday Futures Festival will be (a) three exhibitions, (b) a series of workshops and panel discussions, (c) a series of temporary murals and banners throughout the city highlighting immigrants creating positive social change, and, of course, (d) the Block Party, featuring creators presenting installations, performances, activities and work stations all engaging the notion of Sustainability along Catharine Street between 7th and 8th street.
