Under the guidance of Lauren Fiasconaro, using alternative materials to traditional darkroom chemistry represent a way to continue the photographic tradition without the toxicity and problematic waste that comes with it. By improvising with materials that can be easily obtained and disposed of, the artist/creator is able to achieve self sufficiency and minimize environmental impact.

This workshop will have enough materials available for 10 people. If you register to attend, please be mindful we are purchasing supplies for you. If you can no longer come, even if it’s the day of, please let us know so we can open your seat for someone else to be able to use the purchased materials.
