About:

Danielle Degon Rhodes is an interdisciplinary artist. She graduated from Tyler School of Art (Philadelphia) with a degree in Sculpture and attended Tai Kwun’s Summer Institute (Hong Kong) to study the topics of labor and privilege. She has an invested interest in social justice and uses her art-work to disperse her ideas to the public.

Artist Statement:

“I am interested in using art-work to comment on, throw off, and mimic industrialized forms of production. Through large-scale installations, writings, and curating, I challenge accumulation and investigate its effects on psychology, biography, sociality, and the art-making process. My work instigates the recognition of systemic power and makes connections between influential facets: love and labor, creativity and the overthrow of capitalism, and sex and the social good.”
