About:
Something magical happens when Sally immerses herself with color and movement. She considers herself a life long artist, expressing herself through various mediums including mixed media, acrylics, works on paper, collage, and photography.
Sally grew up in a small town in south central Pennsylvania and has been residing in Philadelphia for over 35 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Drexel University and a Certification in Holistic Health Coaching from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia’s Teachers College. Over the last ten years, Sally has melded her passion for healthy food, lifestyle and art by offering cooking classes and empowering others to find the art in preparing healthy food. When she isn’t in her kitchen, Sally spends a majority of her time in her art studio getting messy and creating.
Solo shows have been held at Twenty-Two Gallery, 1241 Carpenter + Artspace, and Da Vinci Art Alliance, and is scheduled for The Cosmopolitan Club in 2020. She has been a part of many group shows including the Philadelphia Sketch Club, Pennsylvania Acadamy of Fine Arts (PAFA), Fleisher Art Memorial, Naudain Art Collaborative, Da Vinci Art Alliance, and the Long Beach Island Foundation for the Arts. She has been opening up her studio for the last few years as part of the Center for Emerging Visual Artist’s POST (Philadelphia Open Studio Tours). Sally’s work is in private collections throughout the United States and abroad.

Artist Statement:
“There is something magical that happens when I surround myself with color. When I'm in my studio, there is a dance that occurs when mixing together the colors on my palette. I begin each piece of work with one background color and then continue adding color, texture, shapes and many layers until I feel the piece is complete. Immersing myself in the creative process allows me to express my inner landscape of emotions.”
