Artist Statement:

When we record our daily lives we can create artifacts for the future. People can look back and see how we lived. Keeping a record lets us go back into our pasts. It feels important to record things during turbulent and rapidly changing times. My practice revolves around painting snapshots. Through documenting ordinary things, I'm trying to communicate something about mindfulness and how there is beauty around us if we can notice it. Making art lets us notice it.

My Phillyscapes and landscapes are about studying the light and communicating sense of place, temperature, emotion, and atmosphere. My interiors are focused on warm, soft light and symbols of welcome and care.
