Artist Statement:

“My favorite thing to do is to take a walks and photograph whatever grabs my interest. These walks are frequently taken in the city of Philadelphia. The walks are quite meditative and purposeless. I pay attention to my breathing and do my best to let go of everything else. I have the best time and do my best work when I look freely and passionately at the world around me, unbound by conscious thought and especially, any artistic ambitions. The situations I encounter wherein I sense an emotional or spiritual connection with the subject are those I find most worthy of photographing. It's a mysterious and loving feeling when this connection occurs; in a sense, I am making my photographs about that relationship and express my gratitude.”
