About the program:
Critical Theory Discourse is a conversational gathering that allows DVAA members to tackle challenging works of art theory and history together. Each month, we discuss a new topic based on a new reading, podcast, or video that is distributed by DVAA in advance of the program. Critical Theory is meant to foster challenging dialogue about the art world and its context. All DVAA Members are welcome!

At this month’s Critical Theory, we will be discussing The Soul at Work by Franco Berardi.

Industrial production put to work bodies, muscles, and arms. Now, in the sphere of digital technology and cyberculture, exploitation involves the mind, language, and emotions in order to generate value--while our bodies disappear in front of our computer screens.”
