Da Vinci Art Alliance hosts Colors of Hope, a group exhibition of photography, painting, drawing, and assemblage that looks towards a post-pandemic world through inspirational color and form. Hosted in Gallery X, a new virtual exhibition space launched in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Colors of Hope is an interactive exhibition meant to provide a realistic viewing experience. The exhibition will be digitally available as a video walkthrough, image captures, and an interactive virtual experience at www.davinciartalliance.org/colors-of-hope beginning on June 10th.

The public is invited to the opening reception via ZOOM at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7919668146 on June 10th at 6:30pm.

About the exhibition:

In times of uncertainty, it can be easier to look for faults, point fingers, and lose our focus from what matters most, what keeps us going. Colors of Hope explores the meaning of hope in our lives today, and the various ways that translates into color and form. Artists Aaron Kalinay, Ellen Rosenberg, Floyd Kelley, Linda Dubin Garfield, Marcie M Ziskind, Marilyn Stubblebine, Marvin Greenbaum, Melissa Ramaker, Robert Reinhardt, Rosa Leff, David Meade Walker, and Ted Warchal provide a timely response to COVID-19 and provide hope for a better world.

ABOUT THE JUROR:

Vicente Ortiz Cortez is a queer Mexican artist based in Philadelphia, USA. He is the 2020 Michelle Angela Ortiz Curatorial Fellow at Da Vinci Art Alliance. He has exhibited in the USA and abroad in South Korea, Egypt, and Italy, with a 2020 solo exhibition at The Beach Museum in Alagoas, Brazil. His awards include the 2019 Juried Art Exhibition Award from the William Way LGBT Community Center in Philadelphia, and the 2019 Highly Commended Award from Red Line Art Works in Bath, United Kingdom.
