About:
Ted Lieverman is a documentary photographer and writer, working on issues of work, social justice and post-conflict communities. He has worked in a number of countries, and his photos and text have appeared in Global Post, Consortium News, Vietnam Magazine, Huffington Post, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Asia-Pacific Journal, among other publications. Lieverman is a member of the National Press Photographers Association, the Pen and Pencil Club, and an associate member of The News Guild/Communication Workers of America.
Artist Statement:
I started photographing full-time after 30 years as a labor union lawyer, where I learned how to tell a compelling story and to balance audacity with prudence.
