About the exhibition:

DVAA is excited to present our October exhibition Periphery, a group exhibition of visual artists who work within specific material communities but whose production and conceptual queries are articulated on the outer perimeters of their chosen material.  

Whether they are questioning the inclusivity of their material history or denying particular means of production that are favored by their material community, these artists seek to examine what it means to be a maker both inside a community while producing outside of its traditions.
