DVAA OPEN CALL FOR ART FOR THE 2026 DECEMBER EXHIBITION

Perennial Visions VIII:
SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE

Every December DVAA not only celebrates the holiday season, but also our wonderful membership with an annual members-only exhibition entitled Perennial Visions. For the NINTH annual Perennial Visions, we are showcasing the artwork of our membership through a salon-style show in Gallery 1. All DVAA members are welcome (and encouraged!) to participate and are guaranteed to have at least one piece accepted, as long as all submission requirements are followed.

Guidelines and Submission Requirements

• Size Restrictions

  For this years show, the Exhibition Committee is asking for all works to be sized within the framework of SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE.

  • Small - 4 x 6 in. or 6 x 4 in.

  • Medium - 8½ x 11 in. or 11 x 8½ in.

  • Large - 24 x 36 in. or 36 x 24 in.

  • 3D work must fall within these height and length measurements from the front of the piece. Width can be any measurement.

  • Work must be exactly these measurements when submitted and dropped off to be accepted into the show. If you are an artist who frames their work, we are asking for the framed size to fall within these dimensions.

• Material Restrictions
  We are accepting wall-mounted artwork, free-standing objects, and pedestal based works.

• All work must be ready to install (framed, wired, ready for pedestal, etc).

• Members can submit up to 10 pieces for consideration. At least one work submitted will be accepted if all requirements are followed.

  • Work will be reviewed and selected by the DVAA staff.

• Selected works must be dropped off and picked up within the dates specified below.

Important Dates

Application Deadline Saturday, October 31st at 11:59pm

Artists Notified on Thursday, November 5th

Exhibition Runs December 5th - December 20th, 2026

Opening Reception Saturday, December 5th from 5-7pm

Closing Reception & End of Year Potluck Sunday, December 20th from 12-2pm

Artwork drop off at DVAA November 6th - 22nd, by appointment

Artwork pick up at DVAA January 13th between 11 and 6, unless otherwise arranged in advance at time of acceptance
