Jeanne Kohl is a visual artist based in Philadelphia. Her current work investigates color relationships and gestural quality of line. She is a licensed Speech Pathologist, as well as, a former professional Textile Designer. She holds a bachelor's in Textile Design from Philadelphia College of Textiles (now TJU), with a year of study in Scotland and a master's degree in Speech Pathology from Temple University. As an early career artist, Jeanne taught workshops and classes at Mainline Center for the Arts, Tyler School of Art (screenprinting), University of the Arts (summer high school program- costume), Phila Textile (batik), and independent workshops in indigo dyeing and block-printing. After 15 years as a medical speech pathologist, she has returned to a studio practice currently working in watercolor and acrylic painting on paper and canvas.
