Artist Statement:
My work takes inspiration from aesthetics of life and my experiences as a human. Constantly circling ideas of nostalgia, memory, and family, my work often manifests itself through symbolism and allegorical imagery. Inspired by my love of children’s book illustration and folk art, my practice is a continuous exploration of mark-making, narrative development, and methods of storytelling. Much of my work is often grounded by natural imagery, the familiar and comforting subject matter of the natural world providing a reassuring touch stone that I often return to.
