The DVAA Members Flat File is a new addition to our annual Membership program! Beginning July 2022, DVAA Members can have up to 2 flat works for sale at a time displayed in a print rack at the gallery wrapped in clear plastic and online through our webstore. Flat works will be displayed in a wooden display rack next to the desk in Gallery 1, easily accessible by visitors to flip through and find work they connect with!
Rules for Submission:
Each member can have up to 2 pieces listed for sale at one time.
The maximum size for work is 20" x 20".
All work must be FLAT, meaning prints, drawings, photos, zines, booklets, paintings on paper or unstretched fabric. No dimensional objects.
We will switch unsold work out 3 times a year. Members with unsold work must pick up their work within one month of turnover or risk it being donated.
Turnover of work in the Flat File happens March 1st, June 1st, September 1st. Members who need to come pick up unsold work will receive an email notification around these dates.
When work is sold, the artist will be contacted and can bring in new work. If your work has sold within the current cycle, you won't be contacted to change out your work at turnover time.
* Please consider dropping off your work in a plastic display bag backed with cardboard. Any work that is not prepared in this way prior to drop off will be wrapped in plastic, but we cannot guarantee no damages will occur between drop off and being wrapped.
DVAA POLICY:
DVAA is responsible for all press releases, listings, price lists, and gallery labels. Your participation is permission to include images of artwork in promotion. Artwork will be handled with great care, but DVAA is not responsible for loss or damage. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.
When the work is delivered the co-directors reserve the right to refuse works that are not ready to be shown because of improper framing, fragility, damage or low quality. DVAA members receive 70% commission on artwork. Payment to the artist will be sent within 30 days of sale. Artworks left unattended after an extended period of time becomes property of the gallery and may be discarded due to limited storage space.
