Concentric Craft
Group exhibit in Gallery 1, Juried by Ashley York
Exhibition Runs: January 12th - February 2nd
About the exhibition:
Distinguishing itself outside of utilitarian use, this show explores the materiality and form in the traditionally domestic medias of ceramic and fiber art. This collection will balance on the contrast of the physical nature of these two mediums and the similarities in their connotations to craft.
“Concentric Craft surveys a diverse group of ceramics and fibers artists that are using innovative methods and material combinations. Using a variety of alternative processes, the artists transcend and translate the handcrafted - expanding and challenging traditional notions of ‘craft.’” - Ashley York
