Claire Apricot is a digital illustrator focusing on character design and narrative illustration. She likes to take on story-based projects, especially those in the fantasy genre. Claire is currently looking for work from book publishers, tabletop and video game developers, and any person looking to bring their characters/stories to life.

Artist Statement:

Stories have always been a huge influence in my life. They can bring out such huge emotions within us, or teach us important lessons on what it means to be a person. I often grow a special attachment to characters from stories I read or watch, and can't help but draw how I interpret their appearance. I focus on character design because how a character looks can immediately tell a person what they care about, their personal style (or lack thereof), some of their personal history, and so much more. I like to play with textures and styles, so that I may learn a new method and strengthen my understanding of materials through digital artwork.
