About:

My name is CJ and I am a stained-glass artist here in Philadelphia. I've lived in Philly for over a decade and worked in stained glass for about 5+ years but only just begun to explore it as a fine art practice. I very much admired the stained-glass scenes I had access to as a boy in my small methodist church in the woods of PA, so it feels full circle to be finally creating my own.

Artist Statement:

My work is rooted in my childhood love of fable, specifically Aesop’s, and my growing interest in world folklore & myth as well as religious motifs & symbolism. My work lives in a colorful, surreal world of the anthropomorphic as I grew up on binging zany, animated cartoons and to this day still find them to be the perfect medium to express new stories and relationship dynamics.
