About the exhibitions…
Philadelphia Forthcoming: The Endless Urban Portrait will be on view in DVAA’s Gallery 1. This exhibition is an investigation into Philadelphia’s architecture featuring artwork by DVAA members, Jefferson University’s College of Architecture and the Built Environment students, faculty, and alumni, and PEW Fellow, Lisa Marie Patzer. Through a tabletop installation of a new vision of Philadelphia, a digital installation exploring machine intelligence, and a historical wallpaper installation, a common vision of Philadelphia’s future is found. This exhibition will be on-view in-person at Da Vinci Art Alliance October 11-25 and will be on-view virtually at davincifest.org from October 22-29.
The Inquisitives: At the Intersection of Art & Science will be on view in DVAA’s Gallery 2. Six artists with a background in science come together to exhibit new work that reveals the interconnectedness of their scientific and artistic processes. As artists and scientists, Barbara Bix MD, Bennett Lorber MD, Christine Stoughton PhD, Joellyn Ross PhD, Linda Dubin Garfield EdD, and Pia De Girolamo MD prove that science and art aren’t all that different after all. This exhibition will be on-view in-person at Da Vinci Art Alliance October 11-25 and will be on-view at davincifest.org October 22-29.
Exquisite Copse is a temporary exhibition of sculptures curated and organized by Philadelphia Sculptors, where twelve artworks will pop out from the bushes, hang from the trees, and creep along the walkways.
