Botanicals in Blue

A SOLO EXHIBITION BY lauren Fiasconaro

Exhibition Runs: July 29 - October 21
Opening + Artist Talk: Saturday, August 1 from 2:30 - 3:30pm at Atria Center City

About the exhibition:

“I first remember collecting wildflowers on a family trip out west in the early 2000s. I pressed them in my notebook and recorded the places they came from. Objects became memories from a specific time and place.

I can’t seem to stop collecting plants and recording places. It occurred to me that nature has inherent value. Weeds, grass, leaves, wildflowers. I expose them to sunlight and iron salts and wash them in water. Now I have the impression of the plant, an echo, a ghost. These are botanicals in blue.”
