About the exhibition:

As part of Everyday Future Fest (EFF), Da Vinci Art Alliance proudly announces Aqua Terrace, an ongoing in-ground sculptural installation by Nancy Agati.

Nancy Agati’s Aqua Terrace is a permeable surface mosaic installation permanently located in the backyard of Da Vinci Art Alliance. Designed to engage and educate the public about water absorption, runoff, and flooding within urban areas of Philadelphia, Aqua Terrace is an in-ground sculptural installation which uses oyster shells, asphalt, concrete, rock, stone, dirt to build out shallow, swirling patterns.

Working in collaboration with Nancy Agati, the courtyard seating has been designed and built by students in the Sculpture Program at Saint Joseph’s University.

Aqua Terrace is an art piece all can enjoy as the months start to get brighter.

Aqua Terrace will be on view in in Da Vinci Art Alliance’s backyard starting April 4th and running indefinitely. The opening reception will take place on Saturday April 6th, from 4-7pm.
