To a Green Thought in a Green Shade

An international Group exhibition curated by Noëlle King

Exhibition Runs: April 7th - April 26th

About the exhibition:

It was the 17th century Poem “The Garden” by Andrew Marvel, from which the title of this exhibition arose. Studying the intricacies of nature and humankind, Marvel describes the minds ability to create new worlds and then “Annihilate all that is made to a Green Thought in a Green Shade”.

It is obvious our planet is in trouble, and a Green Thought is not enough. In recognitions of this, curator Noëlle King has brought 18 diverse artists from all over the world together to express their deep connection to the natural environment and it’s healing. This exhibit is a realized version of Andrew Marvel’s “Green Shade”. A resting place that can engender hope and action towards a future that respects the Earth and provides a safe garden for all beings.

In congruence with the Everyday Futures Fest, A Green Thought in a Green Shade will be on view in Gallery 1 beginning April 7th, and will be available as a video walkthrough shortly after. Join us at Da Vinci Art Alliance for the opening reception on April 9th from 4-7pm.
