About:

“I make artwork to share my experiences with others and elicit from them a feeling of shared humanity combating isolation and exclusivity. To that end I use any means which seem to suit the image and feeling I want to express. I began using digital methods because they are flexible, inexpensive, transportable and clean. I want my work to be accessible in price and in distribution. I joined DVAA because its aim is shared with my own, building community and exposing the Philadelphia area population to artworks for all. ”

Artist Statement:

“My work in art covers a wide variety of media from painting and printmaking through books, mixed media, digital images, collage and small assemblage sculpture. It is diverse in medium and imagery, as my mind follows many different concepts and measures of expression.

My principle interest whether I am depicting a landscape or an abstract representation of emotion or concept, is to communicate with the viewer a commonality of human experience. The purpose of the work is to remind us that we are not living in isolation of thoughts, feelings or experiences.”
