Artist Statement:

Much of my inspiration comes from art history and working at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the University Museum of Archeology and Anthropology. I am interested in personal mythology and the role of the hero in traditional mythologies. I want to celebrate queer identities and subvert iconic masculine figures in art. Also. I just really like beauty.

I have worked with cheap, and discarded materials like eggshells and sawdust, for many years. I work between different processes because I like the physicality and limitations of each.
