Artist Statement:

“For over 50 years I have been taking photographs, shooting film and slides with the same Olympus 35mm camera and toy cameras using only existing light, choosing to never alter my photos. These images of the silver-gelatin photos were taken using a 35mm Olympus OM-1 camera and a generic disposable camera reflecting my fascination/obsession with connecting to that instant of absolute truth.
These archival images are part of series begun in the 1970’s: The large mounted pieces coincide with stories. The “and then there were none” a tryptch, is silver gelatin. The Coney Island photos were taken using a disposable 35mm camera. The 35mm slide show images were taken 30 years ago in the Bella Vista and Italian Market neighborhood where you are right now.”
