David Meade Walker

About:

Born in Lancaster, PA, in 1948, and raised in the Amish country in Bird-in-Hand, David was greatly influenced by the beauty and simplicity of country life. David was always quite modest about his art, though he was amazingly gifted at so many media, from pen and ink to watercolor to acrylic and oil. He was not commercial in the least, preferring small commissions of portraits and such, and gifting his pieces away. I am exhibiting works from over 100 pieces that I have, and working on a catalogue and website to keep his work alive and share it widely.

Artist Statement:

David’s sister, Sharon Eisenhour joined DVAA to represent her late brother David Meade Walker's (1948-2012) work. “I'm overjoyed to have found a home where his art is valued and appreciated, among so many wonderful artists. I think he'd be pleased at the new family we've found.”
