Crit Night is a monthly critique session for DVAA members to present their artwork to the larger DVAA community for constructive feedback, fueling the artistic process. Sessions feature 5 presenters, allotting each artist 20 minutes of focused critique and discussion.
The Jawnt is a monthly excursion by Da Vinci Art Alliance members & staff to view new exhibitions in Philadlephia. DVAA membership & staff convene at various museums, galleries, and institutions to experience the best of our city’s art scene together.
Critical Theory Discourse is a critical reading and discussion led by DVAA Exhibitions & Programming Director, Bryant Girsch. This program allows DVAA members to tackle challenging works of art theory and history together.
Book Club is a reading group led by DVAA Board Member, Linda Dubin Garfield. This program allows DVAA Members to discuss significant literary works concerning pressing issues in the art world.
Creative Convos is a social gathering of DVAA community members and staff over light refreshments, providing an opportunity to connect with other artists, share ideas, and ask questions in an informal setting.
Exhibition Bootcamp is a course designed by Da Vinci Art Alliance and Fleisher Art Memorial focused on critique and exhibition practices. This new opportunity to work with a professional curator unpacks the multifaceted role of the curator and teaches attendees how to best present artwork in an exhibition.
